(Boursier.com) — The energy sector is taking a nosedive at the start of the week, like TotalEnergies which lost 1.5% to 61.6 euros in Paris. The compartment fell in the wake of crude after Saudi Arabia lowered the official selling price of its oil for February on Sunday, signaling that demand remains weak. A decision which reflects the deterioration of the outlook in a weak global context and pushes into the background concerns about tensions in the Red Sea and supply disruptions in Libya. The barrel of Brent from the North Sea lost 0.9% in London to $78 after recovering 2.2% last week.
