“Igor Levit is playing an increasingly central role in the pianist world. He is one of those artists with whom we have built up a long-term relationship and with whom we always form very individual programs for the festival, ”says director Markus Hinterhäuser, who this year will be working with other people like Martha Argerich, Grigory Sokolov, Arcadi Volodos, András Schiff and Evgeny Kissin or Daniil Trifonov still has a multitude of hot piano irons in the fire. Igor Levit himself will also be heard again on July 31 in a soloist concert in the Großer Festspielhaus with works by Beethoven, Schubert and Prokofiev. “Everything is really there.
