All these measures have changed the habits of everyone on the set and in particular those of the presenter of France 2. Wednesday June 3, 2020, it was Jean-Luc who therefore appeared in front of her and the auctioneer, to try to sell at the best price a lamp by Emile Gallé. The exceptional object was estimated at 3,500 euros before being presented to the various buyers.

Sophie Davant comforts Jean-Luc … but from afar

After a fierce duel between Julien Cohen and the 38-year-old buyer Damien Tison, it was finally the latter who became the happy (new) owner of the lamp for the modest sum of … 7.100 euros. What move Jean-Luc who let himself be overwhelmed by his emotions. With tears in his eyes, he couldn't speak anymore and let out a very sharp little voice. Usually, when a salesperson bursts into tears, Sophie Davant hastens to take him in his arms to comfort him. Unfortunately because of the coronavirus, all these little moments of tenderness can no longer take place. The presenter of the show who asked her viewers to be very vigilant, therefore could not comfort the seller: "I can't console you except from a distance, I'm sorry (…) Are you okay, are you going to recover? We would love to hug you, but we can't ", apologized the 57-year-old host.
