The media ETNews announced at the end of last week that Samsung planned to produce 400,000 copies of its connected ring for its launch. 9to5Google points out that this quantity represents “almost half of Oura’s sales”, current market leader in connected rings, as of March 2022.

We learn in passing that mass production of the Galaxy Ring would start in May 2024, for an announcement in July, potentially at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Marketing will begin in August .

ETNews adds that even if initial demand exceeded expectations, Samsung would be able to keep pace thanks to two advantages of the product: its small size and abundance of parts.

As a reminder, the Galaxy Ring was revealed during MWC 2024. We were able to discover its design and colors, but also the ring sizes available at launch. Samsung announced to the media FNNEws that the autonomy of its connected ring would be between five and nine days.
