RJ (65) from Switzerland died after falling down stairs in a hospital in the Dominican Republic.
The doctors treating the woman did not believe it was an accident.
Two men are said to have confessed to killing RJ.
The Swiss RJ believed she had found happiness in the Dominican Republic – she passed away on Tuesday after having been in intensive care for several days.
