Clean chic at it’s best! The Scandi Girls have perfected the reduced fashion style, maybe even invented it ?! At Copenhagen Fashion Week, which has been celebrated in the Danish capital over the past few days, we found some looks that we would like to wear in the coming spring and summer.

Wow looks as far as the eye can see. The Copenhagen Fashion Week is a guarantee for skilful styles that you can still learn something from. It sometimes takes courage, but above all a lot of laissez-faire. Because Scandi Girls are one thing above all else: chilled. And that’s exactly what they look like.

Scandi Style: Here’s how

Whether Pernille Teisbaek, the Rotate-Girls Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars or Emili Sindlev – the Scandi Girls shape the fashion world with their cool looks and set new trends season after season. Dad sneakers, Havaianas or knee-high boots in retro style – the Scandi Girls are one of the first to wear new trends.

Trends for spring and summer 2022

Green & Tangerine

If you think of the typical Scandi style, you should be surprised by the new trend colors. Because in addition to clean and minimalist nuances, two colors should not be missing in the wardrobe in the coming spring and summer season.

Knat green and tangerine, a bright orange, could be seen on the catwalks at Copenhagen Fashion Week – for example at Ganni, by Marlene Birger and Baum und Pferdgarten.

Sets

Suit up! In the coming season, too, classic suits should not be missing in any wardrobe. At Copenhagen Fashion Week we were able to spot some cool sets on the runways and streets – all of them, of course, far removed from the dusty image of a classic suit.

The trendy Scandi Girls rely on wide silhouettes, break the elegant attitude of the twin set with sneakers or even sandals. Combine this with a simple shirt or a cropped bra top – and the go-to summer look à la Scandi Girls is ready.

Track pants

Another trend from the runways: low rise trackpants, i.e. trackpants that sit low on the hips. Pants that look like sports or functional clothing, preferably with pockets on the sides and elastic on the waistband and legs. You can combine whatever you like, and your belly can also flash out. Cosiness for the win!

sustainability

A special concern of Copenhagen Fashion Week 2021: Put sustainability in focus. “Copenhagen Fashion Week is the cultural and commercial meeting point for the Nordic fashion industry. This gives us the responsibility and the potential to bring about effective change in the entire industry,” explains Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Fashion Week. And so the carbon dioxide emissions of the Fashion Week, according to the company, could be reduced by 20 percent.
