Corinne Masiero, accused of sexual exhibition at the Caesar, responds to the “paupers of the medulla oblongata” who lodged a complaint: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

More than two weeks after the César 2021 ceremony, broadcast on Friday March 12 on Canal +, no one has forgotten the appearance of Corinne Masiero. And that was also the desired goal. The 57-year-old actress had marked the spirits by landing on the stage of the Olympia grimé in Donkey Skin. A bloodstained costume that the star of Captain Marleau did not hesitate to withdraw entirely to show off in Eve’s outfit in front of the cameras. On her naked body, Corinne Masiero had written slogans such as “No culture, no future ” or “Give us back the art, Jean! ” Words carefully chosen to denounce the extremely precarious situation of intermittent entertainment workers since the start of the health crisis. But that was (unfortunately) to be expected: this intervention drew much criticism in the media and on social networks.

It’s election propaganda ”

March 16, nine deputies from the Les Républicains group had sent a letter to the Paris prosecutor to denounce a crime of sexual exhibition – punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 euros – allegedly committed by the actress, who “imposed his nudity ” to the public present in the room as well as to the viewers. Charges which had also revolted Josée Dayan, the director of Captain Marleau, as well as the entire feminist community. And Monday, March 29, it was the turn of Corinne Masiero herself to respond to the right-wing elected officials who denounced her.

In an interview with the magazine Telepoche, the actress regretted that the debate turned to her body rather than to the message she was trying to convey. “It’s not really publicity to end up with paupers of the medulla oblongata who file a complaint against me. It’s election propaganda, she lamented, with the cash tone we know her, before adding: “The only advantage is that they promote the cause that I defend!” As a reminder, the Paris prosecutor’s office had rendered its decision on March 22. “In view of the approach taken by the person concerned, who wished to draw the public’s attention to the current difficulties encountered by entertainment professionals, a lawsuit would be inappropriate ”, then informed the prosecutor Rémy Heitz. The report was therefore closed..
