Since the beginning of the Cornos crisis, the clinic has asked all parents for written confirmation that they have not been in one of the risk areas, reports the "Black Forest Messenger". The father concerned also signed this document. It has now turned out that he was actually in Heinsberg. Ten days after his stay there, he was tested positive for the Cornoavirus.
The clinic now provides information on its website: "After a patient's relative at the Tannheim aftercare clinic became ill with a COVID 19 pathogen, the Tannheim aftercare clinic is cleared and closed. The laboratory confirmation was received on Monday, March 16. Accompanying persons and employees are isolated at home for 14 days. The patients who are still in the clinic are picked up by relatives ".
The clinic is closed until April
"The patients who now need rehabilitation most are of course also the high-risk patients", Roland Wehrle, managing director of the clinic, told the" Black Forest messenger. "In the clinic, especially during the corona crisis, they felt safe and sometimes asked urgently for admission," because they feel safer here than outside " The clinic will remain closed until April 6th.
The consequences of the financial damage for the clinic cannot yet be predicted. According to the operator, the insurance company has so far refused to pay for the damage.
