“The weather is not brilliant, but there is nothing we can do about it. We have to be safe, we have to make sure that we don’t take unnecessary risks. We’ll make a weather call an hour or two before the actual time, but if there’s rain and low cloud, it’ll be nearly impossible to get through. We have a lot of options, the decision will be made, at this point we hope for the best“said Sir Michael Wigston.”There will be outbreaks of rain in London from 8am, nothing too heavy, it’s just going to be a little grey, wet and drizzly. It won’t rain all morning, just a little occasionally with drizzle, it can stop for about half an hour and come back, that sort of thing. It will probably stay that way into the afternoon before it maybe gets a little brighter but usually remains dull for most of the day“said Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin.
