Coronavirus-France reports 232,200 new cases in 24 hours


PARIS, December 31 (Reuters) – France on Friday recorded 232,200 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the space of twenty-four hours, a new daily record since the start of the health crisis last year, data from the Minister of Health.

According to the minister, the number of resuscitated patients currently due to COVID-19 increased by 37 people in 24 hours while 189 more deaths were recorded in the hospital, bringing to 96,660 the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
