Our wardrobe has now also arrived in autumn mode. Light fabrics are being replaced by woolly textiles. One thing should not be missing this season: figure-hugging corsages that flatter our hips.
Corsets and corsages have a long history. There are now very creative and playful ways of wearing a corset. It can be a self-determined statement, create a break in style when combined with casual jeans and make looks more interesting. According to Guido Maria Kretschmer, corsets are very popular,”the idea of giving your body a new proportion can be very exciting,” he says. In a personal interview, he revealed to us which station wagons are the most popular.

The corsets are only worn in the bedroom or at fetish events is long gone. Just like wearing it only on bare skin. We should now become more familiar with layering at the latest, because the fashion designer admits: “I find the corsages over something the coolest”, for example styled with sweaters, blazers and blouses. Tops that have an overcut or turtleneck go particularly well with this. With this combination, however, it is important to note that corsets add bulk over thick fabrics. Therefore, the accessories should be more reserved.
Guido therefore relies on the motto that less is more when it comes to pieces of jewelry that are combined with the look. Ribbons and appliqués are often attached to the designs, which make the corsage exciting enough.
Corsets now go over it instead of under it
Why wear a corsage over a coat when you can also have them fused together? With many trench coats, the shaping piece is currently already sewn into the coat. Guido’s opinion on this: “It’s an advantage if it’s incorporated straight away”. In this way, the thick autumn coats can be very figure-flattering. So we can keep an eye out for this handy duo in the fall. Corsages in general give their wearers a very feminine touch and long upper bodies can be beautifully proportioned with their help.
