Armed robbery Friday evening in Jenbach in Tyrol (Schwaz district): An unknown perpetrator marched into a tobacco shop with a knife, threatened the employee and demanded that cash be handed over. The criminal was finally able to go into hiding undetected. A manhunt was unsuccessful.

Shortly after 6.30 p.m., the stranger, masked with a protective mask, entered the tobacco shop in Jenbach. “The perpetrator threatened the employee there with a knife, stole cash in the amount of a low four-digit euro amount and then fled,” says the State Office of Criminal Investigation in Tyrol. The search was unsuccessful. The victim was not injured by the act. “Except for the employee, there was no one in the tobacco shop at the time of the crime,” the investigators continued. The perpetrator was able to go into hiding, an immediately initiated manhunt was unsuccessful.
