Covid-19: antivax and coronasceptic Italian dies after accepting treatment too late

Luigi Cossellu had ripped off his oxygen mask and did not want help from caregivers. If he had finally accepted, his condition was too serious.

Luigi Cossellu, a coronasceptic and unvaccinated 28-year-old Italian, died of Covid-19 at the hospital in Terracina, Italy. This young man from the Rome region believed that the Covid-19 was just a lie.

Luigi Cossellu was hospitalized on January 16 after contracting the virus, with severe respiratory failure. The young man was placed the next day in intensive care. However, he refused to allow medical personnel to come to his aid, despite his state of health. “When the patient, convinced antivax, arrived at the Terracina hospital, he already needed an oxygen mask and his condition was critical. He had ripped it off, but the doctors spoke to him and were able to convince him to put it back on“, explained to the Corriere della Sera the director general of the Local Health Agency (ASL) of Latina Silvia Cavalli.

The young man died five days after his hospitalization. “Friends die, grandparents, fathers, children, friends are taken away by Covid so can’t say it’s just flu“wrote a young man on social networks. Luigi Soccellu’s father is also hospitalized in intensive care after contracting the virus. The 55-year-old man has always refused to be vaccinated.
