After only three weeks, one season and ten episodes: Netflix is ​​canceling the series “Cowboy Bebop”, which failed both critically and audiences.

Just three weeks after the start of the first season: Netflix is ​​doing according to “The Hollywood Reporter” short work of the “Cowboy Bebop” series. The streaming service stops the series after only ten episodes.

“Cowboy Bebop” only started on November 19th. The series focuses on three intergalactic bounty hunters, played by John Cho (49), Daniella Pineda (34) and Mustafa Shakir (45). It is the live version of the cult anime of the same name, which started in 1998 and is also available on Netflix.

Bad reviews from critics and viewers

“Cowboy Bebob” started with a satisfactory number of hits. According to Netflix, 74 million hours of the series were streamed worldwide in the first week. But already in the second week, the number of viewers fell according to “Hollywood Reporter” by 58 percent.

Probably many potential viewers were put off by the negative reviews “Cowboy Bebop” soon garnered. On the “Rotten Tomatoes” page, which collects reviews and audience ratings, the series is not well received by either the critics or the users. The criticism’s opinions are only 46 percent positive. With normal consumers, “Cowboy Bebop” comes off only marginally better. 56 percent of the votes are positive here.
