Major operation in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus in Vienna: A man fell in his car into the Vienna River on Tuesday afternoon. A number of emergency services had to be deployed. During the crash, the accident victim took an advertising column with him.
The crash occurred near Fabriksbrücke near Linke Wienzeile. The driver left the road, crashed into the barrier and subsequently plunged his vehicle meters deep into the Vienna River. Large-scale operation on the Linker Wienzeile Emergency services and the fire department had to arrive to rescue the injured man and provide him with emergency medical care. Police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger confirms this to the “Krone”. The police do not yet know why the driver of the car lost control of his car. There is currently no information about other accident victims. Advertising pillar torn into the river The man also tore an advertising pillar into the river during the serious crash (see photo). The vehicle is a total loss. The fire department is on duty to pull the wreckage out of the river.
