After the release of the One Piece Yu Yu Hakusho series, Netflix continues to offer us the best of Live-Action with the arrival of the third film Kingdom: The Flame of Destiny.

Kingdom III is available on Netflix

If there is one area in which Netflix manages to stand out from its competitors, it is that of Live-Action. Despite the often mixed reception given to this type of production, Netflix has decided to capitalize on it with in-house projects, notably the adaptation of One Piece released last year which was a real success. This series was quickly followed by the adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho, which was also well received by critics and the public. And soon, the platform should still count on Live Action with a project dedicated to My Hero Academia.

But beyond these series, Netflix also hosts several Live-Action films, including the very good Kingdom, adaptations of the eponymous manga – not to be confused with the South Korean series. And good news at the start of the year, Netflix has just released Kingdom III: The Flame of Destiny, which is already a great success in France since this new feature film is currently in ninth place in the Top Trends of the platform.

Kingdom: what is it?

You would have understood it, Kingdom is originally a manga drawn by Yasuhisa Hara which takes us to China during the Warring States period.. An original and atypical setting rarely represented by the medium. And this setting is above all a pretext to offer us a thrilling story in which valiant warriors confront each other. We follow the story of Shin, a young man who dreams of becoming a Great General under the Heavens.

Epic battles, gripping political intrigues and exciting historical anchoring make up this excellent seinen which can also be found in anime, but also in Live-Action adaptation. The third film was recently released in theaters in Japan and should soon be followed by a fourth chapter, planned for this year. It remains to be seen when Netflix will be able to recover the rights to this fourth feature film. To be continued!
