As Season 1 comes to an end, the future of Solo Leveling in anime is still unclear. However, Crunchyroll would have unintentionally leaked information which seems to indicate that a second part would indeed be in the pipeline.
Solo Leveling, the anime phenomenon of early 2024
Unquestionably, Solo Leveling was the notable anime not to be missed at the start of 2024. Adapted from a successful webtoon, the anime met with great popularity without too many surprises, being the seventh most viewed series in Crunchyroll history with only nine episodes. On MyAnimeList, the show benefits from a rating of 8.39/10, which makes it the most popular anime on the site out of 89. Despite all these strong signals, a second season has still not been officially announced. However, a documentary on the production of the series seems to have spilled the beans before its time.
Recently, a documentary titled The Leveling of Solo Leveling was released by Crunchyroll and looks back on the production of the anime of the same name. Inside, we discover the creation process of the series, including designs and sketches of the different characters and creatures depicted. However, spectators were pleasantly surprised to discover new illustrations things never seen before in the series… and which are only planned for a long time.

A documentary that reveals a lot… even too much
During this documentary, we can notably see the concept art of a certain Beru, a creature who only appears from chapter 124, that is to say during the Jeju Island arc which does not arrive until much later. Much more than a season two, this illustration seems to confirm that the Solo Leveling anime is planned to last with many seasons under the clock. In reality, it is also possible that Beru will be introduced earlier in the anime compared to the webtoonas could be the case for certain hunters important to the continuation of the plot who were present from the first two episodes.
