Culture news The cast of season 2 of The Last of Us is growing, major characters from TLOU Part 2 are present
Four additional faces are added to the well-stocked cast of season 2 of The Last of Us on HBO.
Long-awaited, the second season of The Last of Us, the HBO event series, is delivering more information at the start of 2024. Filming began last January and the first set photos have already leaked on social networks, notably the Greenplace Market, a large abandoned grocery store which makes a brief appearance in The Last of Us: Part 2 during a patrol led by the characters of Ellie and Dina.
Since the start of the year, we also know a little more about the casting; the role of Abby Anderson in particular, whose revelation was the subject of multiple debates, has finally been confirmed: it will be Kaitlin Dever, young revelation of Rosaline and No One Will Save You. The actress also lent her voice to Cassie Drake in the 4th episode of Uncharted. Also, Jesse, Ellie’s ally, will be played by Young Mazino, actor recently seen in the hit series Beef, alongside Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. We also know that Dina, Elie’s love interest, will be played by Isabela Moner, who you may know as Dora the Explorer. Finally Catherine O’Hara, seen in Mom, I Missed the Plane and Schitt’s Creek, landed a secret role that we can’t wait to discover. This week, no less than four additional roles are revealed.

Danny Ramirez, recently seen in Top Gun: Maverick, will play Manny“a loyal soldier whose bright gaze hides the pain of old wounds and the fear of missing his friends when they need him most“. How to Blow Up a Pipeline actress Ariela Barer will play Melyoung doctor “whose commitment to saving lives is called into question by the realities of war“. Tati Gabrielle, seen in You on Netflix, will camp “a military nurse who struggles to accept the sins of her past“. Finally Spencer Lord, whom teenagers know mainly for his role in Riverdale, will play Owen“a gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body, condemned to fight an enemy he refuses to hate“. With a good part of the cast now revealed, we are now waiting to have a more precise release window.
