Unveiled last year, Cursed to Golf was expected on PC and Nintendo Switch, then also on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but the title of Thunderful Games and Chuhai Labs talk about him again today, on the side from the blog playstation. Because yes, Cursed to Golf will also be released on PlayStation 4 and PS5.

Welcome to Golf Purgatory
In Cursed to Golf, you play as an up-and-coming golf champion who tragically dies on the verge of winning a tournament. Instead of ending up in Heaven (or Hell), you land in Golf Purgatory. On the spot, an imposing silhouette tells you that you have been… CURSED! But all is not so bad: if you pass an ever-changing 18-hole course, you will come back to life. As with any great adventure story, it’s a feat no one has yet accomplished. But there’s a beginning to everything, isn’t there? If you miss a hole, expect your damn curse to take you back to the very beginning of the course, giving you the chance to start over.
In the world of the dead, golf is a very different sport than the one we know and love. At each new start, the 18 holes that make up your course are randomly chosen from a selection of more than 70 carefully created holes, enough to create a new course each time. Holes are similar to dungeons, often with different paths to success. To conquer them, you will have to go in different directions and overcome all the traps and dangers. If some are familiar to you, with water and bunkers, others will not hesitate to use deadly spikes, TNT crates and other “Grave Catchers” to make you fail. The course spans four different biomes: Purgatory, Desert, Caves, and Hell, each featuring its own twists and turns based on its theme. To top it off, you only have five shots to reach the flag. Damn, this curse is no joke!
A few assets in your bag
Since we are not entirely evil, you can count on a number of bonuses to pass this difficult course. Besides all the dangers they harbor, the holes are also riddled with useful items: Shot Idols are a blessing from the god of golf, giving you extra shots when you cross them, and teleporters can get you closer to the flag. If you blast them wisely, even TNT crates can come in handy, revealing shortcuts. As a bonus, ACE CARDS grant you single-use skills you couldn’t even dream of in the real world. Go back in time with a Mulligan, freeze water with a Frost Ball, guide your ball to its target with a Rocket Ball, get out of a sticky situation with a Portal, and slice your ball into three with a Fragment Shot. And that’s just a sample of the 20 upgrades waiting for you.
Trace your route
Between two holes, you can move around the map in your Golf Cart. During your journey to the next hole, you may find treasure chests or decks of cards. At the junctions, you may come across a character (not suspicious at all!) who will help you choose a path. It’s always a good idea to stop by the Eterni-Tee shop to buy card packs, change outfits or store a few special cards in your binder to keep them intact. A practice green is also available. The moves are unlimited and you will find all the Ace Cards that you have already unlocked. It’s also the perfect place to try out new tactics and unlikely moves. Try stacking up to three Ace Cards in a swing to find out how you can push the game’s mechanics. After all, The game has no limits ;).
