Curtain bangs: what you should not do to give it volume, according to a hairdresser: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

If you are a fan of bangs, you surely know that it is not always easy to give it the perfect movement and for it to last throughout the day. A hairdresser revealed to us his best tips for keeping it in place despite the heat as well as his advice to prevent it from getting greasy too quickly. But there are also techniques to give it movement and fix it, we remember in particular this TikTok tip with a surprising product that we all have at home.

This type of bangs is indeed super trendy. But if you style it incorrectly, it can quickly become completely flat. On TikTok, the hairdresser @Mattloveshair shares regularly his easy techniques and tips to tame your hair. He is particularly overflowing with ingenuity when it comes to adding volume to fine hair, whether with a crocodile clip and dry shampoo or a headband, hairspray and a comb. The gesture is always simple and the result is stunning. Recently, he revealed his technique for styling his bangs and giving them maximum volume.

A hairstylist reveals the mistake you shouldn’t make when styling your curtain bangs

And it all starts with a mistake that should never be made again. Indeed, when you are preparing to style it, do not follow the natural separation with a parting in the middle. The hairdresser advises gathering the two strands that make up your curtain bangs, and separating them into two sections, horizontally. Grab a round brush and a hair dryer. Start with the strand from the back, and wrap it around the brush while drying. Then move on to the front section. Then, bring the two sections together, find your part in the middle and place the strands on the sides. You can maintain this beautiful volume or add a little finish, by passing the brush and the hairdryer again at the tip of your bangs to give it movement. And there you have it, your curtain bangs are impeccable. If your hair tends to flatten and fall out quickly, fix with a little hairspray.
