Dagmar Wöhrl: She talks about her hardest stroke of fate

Dagmar Wöhrl (65) lost her then twelve-year-old son in a tragic accident in 2001. A stroke of fate from which the TV lioness has never fully recovered. "Time heals all wounds, you always say. But this wound, the death of my son, will never heal," explains Wöhrl on the Sat.1 show "Dinner Party" (Wednesday, January 22nd at 0:15 am ) from which the "Bild" newspaper quotes. "You learn to deal with such blows of fate, but it catches up with you again and again," adds the 65-year-old.

"You don't expect you to survive your children. We were all there that evening too." Dagmar Wöhrl's son fell from the roof of the family villa in Nuremberg. He later died of severe internal bleeding in the hospital. Wöhrl, her husband and their 15-year-old son were at home at the time of the accident.

Each family member processed the accident differently. Her husband wrote a lot on the subject afterwards. She herself read a lot and also dealt with life after death. "My interests have changed completely," said Wöhrl. One cannot suppress the death: "It always comes up again. Sometimes there is silence for a while, but afterwards it comes up again and again." Her greatest heart's desire can no longer be fulfilled. "My son is not coming back."
