This Wednesday, January 19, activists went to the Ministry of National Education … to parody Jean-Michel Blanquer’s vacation. Between swimsuits, masks and music: everything was there.
It was a party at the Hôtel de Rochechouart! This Wednesday, January 19, Parisians went under the windows of the Ministry of National Education to react to the controversy over Jean-Michel Blanquer’s vacation in Ibiza when he unveiled the new health protocol at school. For this action, no signs or whistles but… swimwear, sarongs and pregnant women. Because yes, to make fun of the Minister of Education, they landed dressed as in the middle of summer and they partied to the sound of a remix of the tube Go to the beach. Among the few dozen people massed? A lookalike of Jean-Michel Blanquer, in a suit and tie, who strolled among the dancers, whose faces were hidden by masks bearing the effigy of the minister. A fun action, which comes in full outcry.
As a reminder, on January 2, Jean-Michel Blanquer unveiled the new health protocol which would come into force the next day, in the columns of Le Parisien. As unveiled Mediapart, the minister was then on vacation in Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands. “I took four days off and I worked during those four days”, he defended himself on TF1, this Tuesday, January 18, before evoking the particular choice, and very criticized of his destination, known for his festive evenings: “I can see the connotation that Ibiza has, and if I had to do it again, I would choose another place. Basically, it wouldn’t change anything. I don’t think there’s cause for accusation. On the other hand, I understand the symbol that Ibiza is – but winter is not like summer at all. I was just outdoors, connecting with the government, the cabinet and the interlocutors”.
Jean-Michel Blanquer: this other controversy that makes noise
Already in the midst of controversy, Jean-Michel Blanquer must experience a new outcry. The reason ? The animation of a debate about him by his wife, Anna Cabana. “This relationship has been public for two years. And I have already paid a high price for it, reacted the journalist in the columns of Parisian. Type my name on the Internet, it’s everywhere. It’s even written on my Wikipedia page. Today, everyone knows that I am the companion of Jean-Michel Blanquer. I can’t pay the bill every day.” For a few hours, the sequence has been the buzz on social networks. Journalists, politicians, anonymous… Many of them point the finger at what they consider to be professional misconduct or even a breach of ethics. A new outcry for the Minister of Education…
