Danger for Samsung users: malware has appeared in the Galaxy Store

Malware in Samsung’s Galaxy Store: Google Play Protect hits

The good news for users is that the apps trigger a Google Play Protect alert indicating the issues. The applications all require access to a whole range of permissions. If you agree to this request, the clone apps can access sensitive personal information or execute codes. Samsung itself has not yet commented on the problems.

If you have installed one of the applications despite the warning, you should delete it immediately. Then you should check your smartphone with a virus scanner and remove any software found. As a last resort, all that remains is to reset the device to factory settings. However, if you want to do this, you should first make sure that all personal files such as photos and videos are backed up.
