The Danish royals have released new family pictures to mark Mary of Denmark’s 50th birthday.

On February 5 Mary of Denmark celebrates her 50th birthday. To mark their upcoming special day, the palace released new family pictures this Friday (February 4). The Crown Princess poses with husband Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark (53) and their children, the twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent (11), Princess Isabella (14) and Prince Christian (16).

They all opted for a casual outfit for Hasse Nielsen’s photos. The children wear white shirts and jeans, the crown princess combines beige trousers with a white shirt and her husband black trousers. Mary of Denmark will celebrate the birthday “privately with family and friends at Amalienborg Palace”, says an Instagram post, which also shows the family’s new photos. “On royal social media throughout the day, it will be possible to congratulate Her Royal Highness on a milestone birthday.”

The palace already had late January new portraits published by the Danish crown prince couple. The crown princess wears a sparkling, floor-length sequined dress in an ice blue silver tone. Crown Prince Frederik traditionally wore his dark blue uniform. The two were also photographed by Hasse Nielsen at Amalienborg Palace. The couple has been married since 2004.
