PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation announced on Monday that it had obtained from the Aeronautical Maintenance Department (DMAé) a new generation contract for the support of the Mirage 2000 of the Air Force and space (AAE).

This contract, the amount of which has not been disclosed, was concluded for a period of 14 years, the group said in a press release. It “brings together all the maintenance activities in operational condition (MCO) of the French Mirage 2000 until their withdrawal from service”, he added.

“This contract is part of the DMAé’s strategy of verticalization of aeronautical MCO, desired by the Minister for the Armed Forces, by entrusting support responsibilities to a single prime contractor”, commented Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation. , quoted in the press release.

This contract follows the Rafale operational maintenance contract notified to the group in May 2019 for a period of 10 years and that of the Atlantique 2 notified in September 2020 for also 10 years.
