DAVID BÏOT: He is impulsive, likes adrenaline and thrills… He knows very well what he is doing. Without revealing everything, we can say that he robs the dealers… He’s a scoundrel!
Is he trying to seduce Commander Clarissa Hoarau (Yaëlle Trulès) out of interest?
He got caught up in the game. He is in something sincere. But he’s a manipulator.
You had already played a cop in seasons 6 to 8 of the series Cain, for France 2… Did you like taking on this type of role?
This is my first scoundrel! It’s quite cool, and even enjoyable. I’ve had great partners.
Will this character return in future episodes?
I don’t know, but I’d like to. The scenes were very intense, we had a good time. Reunion is a beautiful island, and the people are adorable.
You briefly reprized the role of Djawad in More beautiful life for TF1. How did you feel coming back to it?
It was strange after so many years. I left in 2017… It was also strange to find the teams again, with all these accumulated memories. I obviously thought a lot about Marwan (Berreni) And Michel (Strings) (both deceased, editor’s note)…
Estelle (Élodie Varlet) also returned to the intrigues but left at the beginning of February. Will your character stay?
Yes. Djawad has a sister, Aya (Johanna Boyer). She has problems and needs him. He will form new relationships… I can’t tell you everything. (Laughs.) I am currently filming episodes that you will discover soon…
Have you ever regretted leaving this soap opera?
No never. I was able to do other things, like shoot the film Glittery Shrimp.It’s a good memory, even if we spent our days in swimming pools obeying the director.
What are your projects ?
I’m in the next season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which was filmed in France. I starred in one episode. We were on a large plateau in front of the Louvre pyramid. It was incredible.
Little is known about your private life… What do you do when you’re not working?
You are very curious! (Laughs.) I swim! I like swimming. And I travel. Thanks to filming, I have the chance to do it. And I am very happy today.
