Mega deal for David Beckham: The ex-soccer star gets his own documentary series on Netflix.
David Beckham (47) has made the next big deal with Netflix. The streaming provider will produce a documentary series about the former soccer star. Both Beckham and Netflix have that confirmed on Instagram. Accordingly, it should be about the childhood, life and career of the former professional footballer.
“The series will feature unseen archive footage, untold stories, and interviews with the people who have been part of my journey,” writes Beckham. In addition, he shared three photos of himself: On one he is cheered on by crowds of fans as a young footballer. Another picture shows him as a little boy lying on the lawn. The third photo shows today’s David Beckham in jeans and a white t-shirt.
Two Oscar winners are producing the series
The project is being produced and directed by the two Oscar winners Fisher Stevens and John Battsek in cooperation with the TV company Studio 99. It is not yet known when the series will appear.
