Deacidification: It works with these tips!

If the acid-base balance of your body is disturbed, it is high time for a deacidification! We'll give you tips for an acid-free everyday life!

Deacidification: why should I do this?

From a medical point of view, an acid-base balance is disturbed when the pH value in our blood falls below 7.35 – the normal value is above 7.4. As a rule of thumb, the lower our pH, the more acidic our body. However, very few people know that they suffer from acidosis, which can even become chronic. Anyone who has symptoms such as indigestion, fatigue or bad skin could test a deacidification against it.

A good way of deacidification: Base fasting. One relies on a diet that consists of 70 percent so-called basic foods and only 30 percent of so-called acid-forming foods. Basic foods include, for example, many types of fruit and vegetables. Alkaline fasting is supposed to help the body break down excess toxins and pollutants, so-called waste products.

How does acidic acid develop?

Primarily acidic acidity is caused by ingesting too many foods that produce acid. This affects products with so-called empty carbohydrates, such as white flour products, sweets, snacks, sausage or cheese. These foods can impair the regular metabolism and over-acidify the organism. But other factors of personal lifestyle can also promote acidification. These include:

  • Too little exercise
  • excessive consumption of luxury foods (e.g. alcohol or cigarettes)
  • Taking certain medications
  • chronic disease of the deacidification organs (e.g. liver or kidney)

Persistent stress can also negatively affect the metabolism.

When is it time for a deacidification?

With these symptoms you should do your body good with the help of deacidification:

  • Muscle and joint pain: When the connective tissue can no longer absorb acids, the acids are deposited in the joints and muscles. If you often suffer from muscle and joint pain, the body literally cries out for deacidification.
  • Fatigue: Do you often feel tired and exhausted and still have problems falling asleep? This is because the organism is permanently overstimulated by the vegetative nervous system.
  • Bad complexion: Our organism breaks down the acids not only through the blood, but also through the skin. This in turn destroys the natural protective layer: Bacteria find a good breeding ground and your skin looks pale, large-pored, impure and stressed.
  • Dental problems: The low pH value is also dragged into the mouth: This ensures that bacteria, fungi and viruses feel particularly comfortable and Bad breath, Tooth decay and other dental problems arise.

These tips and home remedies will help you with deacidification

If you've noticed that your acid-base balance is messed up, there are simple strategies you can use to counteract acidification. In fact, it is quite easy to deacidify the body in everyday life:

  • Nutrition: In most cases, this is the biggest factor because we unknowingly ingest many acidic foods such as meat, sausage, cheese, curd cheese, sweets and white flour. Instead of acids, we should rely on basic foods. These include:
  1. Fruit vegetables (e.g. kale or rocket)
  2. Potatoes
  3. fresh herbs
  4. Seedlings or seeds (e.g. sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, or cress)
  • Chew more thoroughly during meals and eat slowly as possible. If your everyday life allows, don't eat too late in the evening.
  • Drinking behavior: The body needs sufficient fluid to flush the acids out of the body: Herbal teas and still mineral water are ideal for drinking. Refrain from alcohol, coffee, carbonated drinks and sour teas (fruit and black teas) as often as possible!
  • Move: Sport keeps you healthy! Our joints and all of our muscles need regular exercise. Two to three workouts a week are advisable. Maybe you can go to work and do your shopping on foot or by bike instead of taking the car or train? That can also help if you can't do sport regularly.
  • Relaxation:Relaxation techniques like yoga exercises orAutogenic traininglet us come to rest and help us to deal with stress in a healthy way – and that in turn has a good influence on our acid breakdown.
  • Wellness units: Regular visits to the sauna are also good for the acid-base balance.
  • Base treatment with minerals (e.g. base powder): Treat yourself and your body to alkaline minerals in the form of a wellness bath so that acids and deposits can be more easily eliminated from the body. For example, basic mineral salts such as magnesium, calcium and sulfur compounds are suitable here. One can – best before going to bed – add 100 grams of sodium bicarbonate to the 37 ° C warm bath water. After ten minutes in the tub, the body is thoroughly treated with soap and a brush. Then you stay in the water for another 20 to 40 minutes. If it gets too cool, you can run hot water. Finally, soap and brush the body again heavily, rinse off thoroughly and dry off.

How long does the deacidification take?

First of all, you should be sure that deacidification makes sense. To do this, you can simply try alkaline fasting for a few days: A correspondingly changed diet over three to five days can already have a positive effect. Those who get along well with this can extend the base treatment to up to 14 days. Once the correct deacidification has been achieved, one should make sure that it is possible again Hyperacidity to avoid in the future. It is best to continue to eat an alkaline diet and follow the other tips as regularly as possible.
