Last week, Behavior Interactive unveiled a very short teaser to announce collaboration with the franchise Alien for Dead by Daylighther survival horror multiplayer at gameplay asymmetric. The Canadian studio has already presented this future content in detail, with a trailer:
THE Alien Chapter will therefore make it possible to embody a new KillerTHE Xenomorphand a new survivor, Ellen Ripleyin an unpublished map, theWreck of the Nostromo. Behavior Interactive details these new features:
- A ruthless specimen from a distant planet :
The Xenomorph is the epitome of the stealth killer – fast and powerful, it can strike Survivors with its razor-sharp tail. The Xenomorph’s power, called Stealth Mode, allows it to walk on all fours and become more stealthy, greatly reducing its terror radius. Icon of the world of horror and science fiction, he is the perfect killer: surprising even the most resourceful Survivors and forcing them to give up all hope of survival.
The arrival of the Xenomorph also introduces a new interactive feature to the Map: Control Stations. Seven control stations are scattered across the Map. Survivors can interact with these stations to obtain a new tool, the Remote Flame Turret, while the Xenomorph can enter and exit tunnels below the control station.
As the sole survivor of the Nostromo, Ellen Ripley is strong, level-headed, and determined. Having overcome relentless threats, she is the embodiment of resilience, which makes her an invaluable ally to any group of Survivors. She has already faced the Xenomorph and is now in the hands of the Entity. His fate in this hostile place is still undetermined – but there is still hope.
Surrounded by vast and ominous shadows, the new Map, the Wreckage of the Nostromo, is imbued with an undeniable sense of dread. The Entity has reconstructed the Nostromo spaceship from Ripley’s memories, so players can hunt – and be hunted – through the heart of this nightmarish, abandoned vessel. Players will rediscover the iconic ship with memorable elements from the first Alien movie as well as unique new elements.
- New Survivor Tool: Ranged Flame Turret :
Dead by Daylight: Alien introduces a new tool for Survivors, which can be used exclusively against the Xenomorph. The Flame Turret’s defensive attack stuns the Xenomorph and ends its Special Ability. This tool adds complexity to gameplay, as it requires Survivors to strategically place the Turret and activate it when appropriate. Players will be kept on their toes as they will need to repair the tool if it overheats and must protect it (and themselves) from the mighty Xenomorph, which can destroy the Turret. Who will make it out alive?
