Dealer gang caught – marijuana worth eleven million euros sold


Officials from the Vienna State Criminal Police Office arrested four alleged members of an organized dealer gang. The men are suspected of having sold over two tons of marijuana with a street value of eleven million euros in the greater Vienna area between 2020 and 2021.

The official act took place in April. The suspects are two Algerian (26 and 31 years old), a 15-year-old Libyan and a 33-year-old Serbian national, the police reported. In the course of the arrests, several houses in bunker apartments in Favoriten, Meidling and Penzing were searched.

The officers seized 36 kilograms of marijuana, 150 grams of marijuana resin and 4830 euros in cash. One suspect has so far confessed. The arrested were taken to a detention center.
