Friday January 29, 2021, Faustine Nogherotto, resorted to assisted suicide in Belgium, in order to put an end to her suffering. A year after the disappearance of the young woman revealed in Star Academy 6, her mother paid tribute to her on Facebook.
Shocking words… After suffering for almost ten years from chronic fatigue syndrome as well as Gougerot-Sjögren syndrome, it was on January 29, 2021 that Faustine Nogherotto resorted to assisted suicide in Belgium, at the age of 31. In mourning, it was a year after his disappearance that his mother wished to pay tribute to him. On Facebook, she wrote:Today, we pay you a little tribute my daughter that you deserve so much. We will be near you at the cemetery for this tribute. A year ago, you left us. Coralie was with me to accompany you on this journey of no return that you wanted so much, without fear with courage. Manuela was close to you too, an ordeal that was traumatic for us and that will remain forever in our hearts. I was disconnected and never imagined when I left you in the hospital that I would never see you again and it hurts so deep inside me.“
With modesty, the mother of the young woman revealed in the Star Academy 6 told : “You were an adorable girl and I, your mom, saw you suffer, I would have liked to keep you close to me, but it was selfishness not to respect your choice. I suffer from your absence, but you are liberated. You are missed by many and I hope you see from up there how loved you were. I will always be near you. I love you so much my darling. Your mom who kisses you with all her heart.“A year earlier, it was Faustine Nogherotto’s sister who spoke on Facebook. The latter had revealed:”Life is unfair my sister had everything for her beauty kindness purity in the voice. She suffered so much… Now she is soothed (…) I can’t imagine that I won’t be able to touch her, see her and talk to her, it’s a nightmare that drags on. I am so sad…“
Faustine Nogherotto could count on the support of her mother
In 2015, it is in the columns of Closer that the pretty blonde had mentioned her illness. “I suffer martyrdom, but there is no treatment for these pathologies. I am constantly in a state of extreme exhaustion. Neither rest nor sleep allow me to recover. Migraine and joint and muscle pain don’t leave me“, she explained. A year later, it was in front of Nagui that she revealed on the set of Do not forget the lyrics : “I’m here, but others are in bed, can’t move or eat properly. Me, I’m lucky to have my mother who has been there and who has been helping me for 6 years, and to have a moral of steel.“
