The Bogdanoff brothers rose to prominence on television in the 1980s with their popular science program, titled Time X. In this program which asked viewers about possible extraterrestrial life, the two brothers were constantly dressed in futuristic suits to evoke the technological advances of the time. If the audiences were mixed, the show marked a whole generation of viewers and made the twin brothers known to the general public.

Over the years, Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff have changed their physical appearance and their metamorphosis has intrigued many French people. In the 2000s, the twin brothers spread across the media and readily lent themselves to comedy shows that made fun of their image. Recently they had participated in season 2 of Mask Singer in 2020. In addition, Grichka Bogdanoff had, with her brother, a plan to take over Time X with the Canal + group. Following the announcement of his death, many personalities paid tribute to him such as Cyril Hanouna or even Michel Easel. The latter intervened on CNews in order to remember memories with the Bogdanoffs.

At that point, they have been marginalized from the scientific community“.
