American comedian John Aylward, best known for playing surgeon Donald Anspaugh in the series “Emergencies”, has died at the age of 75.
John Aylward, American television and film actor who was seen in the series Emergencies, Alias and At the White House, died this week at the age of 75.
Born in 1946 in Seattle, he studied drama at the University of Washington. Television actor for more than 30 years, he multiplies small roles in famous American series.
Besides the role of surgeon Donald Anspaugh, recurring in ER, and that of adviser Barry Goodwin in A la Maison Blanche, he also appeared briefly in Alias, Ally McBeal, X-Files, Nip/Tuck, New York Police Judiciaire, Mad Men , Mentalist or even Fringe.
More recently, we could see him in the casting of Yellowstone, in the role of Father Bob.
On the big screen, John Aylward also collects supporting roles, in feature films as diverse as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, Armageddon, Visitors to America, Water for Elephants, Gangster Squad or Albert in the West.
