After a long time, there was another gameplay trailer for Death Stranding 2 at the State of Play event. Kojima also released more information about the upcoming game on X (formerly Twitter).
The company’s founder, Hideo Kojima, has confirmed on the platform that the upcoming title will continue without Mads Mikkelsen in his role as Clifford Unger. However, Kojima emphasizes that Cliff Unger continues to play an important role in the world of Death Stranding and remains alive in fans’ memories.
Fans’ opinions are divided
On X, fans’ opinion seems to be divided. Some seem to mourn the character. Others, however, feel that his story had ended.
In the first part of Death Stranding, Mikkelsen played the character Clifford Unger. However, alongside this news, Kojima also emphasized that Norman Reedus and Troy Baker would be back in the upcoming game.
