Defending Jacob: Apple TV + shows drama series with Chris Evans from April 24th



"Defending Jacob" will launch on April 24th on Apple TV +. The thriller series is based on the 2012 New York Times bestselling novel by William Landay of the same name. As Apple also announced, the new episode will then be shown on Fridays. Marvel star Chris Evans (38, "Fantastic Four", "Avengers") plays a lawyer who has to defend his son accused of murder in court.

The main roles in the miniseries take on Evans "Downtown Abbey" actress Michelle Dockery (38) and young actor Jaeden Martell (17, "Es", "The Book of Henry"). The thriller series is about Andy Barber, a lawyer from a small town in Massachusetts. One day when his minor son is suspected of murder, Barber has to choose between justice and love for his son.

"Defending Jacob" was produced by Paramount Studios, Chris Evans and Mark Bomback, who also acts as a show runner. The director is Oscar-nominated Morten Tyldum (52, "The Imitation Game", "Passengers").
