(Boursier.com) — Following the acquisition of the military drone company Tonner Drones, DeltaDrone completes its main activity by including the development and sale of military drones and their associated software and services. Also, the company is proposing to change its name to Tonner Drones.
New governance
As part of the €1.5 million investment agreement of June 5, 2023, the new group of investors, led by Mr. Diede van den Ouden, insisted that the old management team be replaced and that a new team led by Jean-François Ott and Brad Taylor, establishes a new vision and a new strategy, while optimizing the management of the company. The new management team brings to the company solid expertise in different sectors (finance, entrepreneurship, management, commercial) as well as an important network in Europe, North America and Africa, which will enable it to generate value for shareholders.
In the weeks since his appointment, the new leadership has focused on:
* the reduction of costs and the optimization of financial expenses, in particular within the framework of the payment plan announced on June 27, 2023 with Yorkville;
* the signing of the €1 million shareholder loan with the new investor, as announced on June 18, 2023, which provides the Company with short-term operational funds;
* the abolition of variable-price financing products;
* and working with partners and other stakeholders to generate revenue for the business.
The global military drone sector is worth around €10-12 billion and is expected to grow to €30-33 billion by 2030. By adding this business sector to its strategy, the new management team sees significant potential for increasing shareholder value in the technology developed by Tonner Drones and the company.
Tonner Drones and its modular drone technology
At the heart of Tonner Drones is a modular drone technology with firing capabilities that has been developed for the military sector since 2018 at a cost of over 8 ME. In addition to related intellectual property, hardware, software and technology, the company holds a patent on the recoil ejector system in Germany, as well as patents pending at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. Tonner Drones continues to develop this technology. Although it is being developed for the military, its modular nature means that it can also be adapted to the security, firefighting (including forest fires and prevention), search and rescue (including medical equipment delivery) and agricultural sectors. The Company can therefore consider developing products that address these issues depending on demand.
The military technology that Tonner Drones is developing is highly anticipated, especially in Ukraine and several African countries. Discussions have already taken place and are ongoing with business and government representatives, particularly in these regions.
The company’s goal will be to work directly in these areas to study the specific military challenges each of these nations face, so that it can develop tailored, rugged, easy-to-use and unique military drone solutions. Only by working in the field with military and security personnel is it possible to develop products that meet the needs correctly and specifically.
The company also has a large inventory of drones, equipment, charging stations, batteries, software, hardware, video and surveillance devices, telescopic cranes and technologies designed and developed over the years by Delta Drone. They will be adapted and, if necessary, machined to meet the needs of the company’s new development strategy.
