Demacia Cup: preseason 2022, we know the best team in China

For several weeks now, we have been telling you that the competitive season of League of Legends has ended and that it is an opportunity, for the players but also for the fans, to relax in order to recharge their batteries. But we are not telling you everything and it was only a half-truth. In the West, everyone takes advantage of their family and loved ones to celebrate the end of the year holidays and apart from a little showmatch between the Karmine Corp and KOI, it’s dead calm. But in China, we coal all the time, even at the end of December with the Demacia Cup. This Chinese Cup brings together the 17 LPL teams, 3 LDL teams (development league) and 4 amateur teams and allows to take the temperature, which is not a refusal during the Covid-19 period. The community, in addition to having their dose of competition, can see who is already in good shape and who has already managed to get used to their new roster. Due to its very late position in the calendar, the tournament may well take place in 2021, however, the structures are showing up with their 2022 version roster!

So we had the opportunity to see play Doinb for LNG Esports, Xiaohu return to mid at RNG, the new version of FunPlus Phoenix or Tian at TopEsports … And after many matches and a dantesque final, a former 2019 world champion won!

Victory and MVP title for Tian

At the top in 2020, TopEsport is however returned to the ranks in 2021. Unable to qualify for the Worlds despite a quality workforce, the leaders decided to make a lot of changes in the workforce during the transfer window. 369 and Karsa, in lack of success were therefore dismissed to make room for two doublets. In the top, Zoom and Wayward were recruited and in the jungle, Tian and Xiaopeng have signed. While the LPL structures often stand out for their river workforce where we double or triple the posts, the hierarchy however seems fairly clear on paper. Zoom (ex JDG) and Tian (ex FPX) have a CV which imposes it and should be indisputable holders … Even if the Demacia Cup, by its nature made it possible to turn the workforce, it is them. who played during the important moments (playoffs).

The two newcomers quickly got used to their new home. Sharp and bleeding, they managed to win the tournament by defeating RNG (3-0) and Invictus Gaming (3-0) without trembling. The final was more contested against the new version of FPX (3-2), but Tian was solid to win against his old team and hang his first trophy with his new one. The jungler was even elected MVP of the final where it brawled dry! We will have to count on TES next year which with its roster has real airs of superteam: Zoom, Tian, knight, Jackeylove, Zhuo.

div2-lfl

JobLife Esport is a funny bird. This structure, launched by the JL, will spread its wings in 2022 and intends to march on the Div 2 to join the LFL. The leaders pecked right to left to put a quality workforce on their feet and at the top, we will find an old canary.
