Valérie Hayer, newly named head of the Renaissance list for the European elections, made her first campaign trip this Friday, to Mayenne, her department of origin. The MEP intends to highlight her rural origins to stand out from the competition.
Just named head of the Renaissance list for the European elections next June, MEP Valérie Hayer was traveling to Mayenne this Friday, her department of origin. A campaign launched among the cows, barely fifteen kilometers from his family’s land. Being the daughter and sister of farmers constitutes an asset on which Valérie Hayer counts, while peasant anger does not subside.
“I am above all a woman from rural areas. What is important for me was above all to demonstrate my local roots. I believe that this is one of my specificities compared to many of my competitors”, she assures. Opponents towards whom she shoots her first arrows by targeting, without mentioning it, the RN of Jordan Bardella, the big favorite in the polls.
Traveling Saturday to the Agricultural Show
“These are perhaps the most important elections in the history of the European Union. The battle is clear. There are those who want to destroy our democracies and destroy Europe from within. We are here to carry a project for the future, bringing solutions for the French”, affirms Valérie Hayer.
Although she has made a solid name for herself in Brussels, the MEP remains unknown to the general public. In France, the boss of the centrist and liberal family in the European Parliament has three months to weigh in and make herself heard. It is again her rural roots that she will highlight on Saturday, at the Salon de l’Agriculture, for her second campaign trip.
