The Omicron variant might just be the surprise guest at the Christmas table. This new version of the now famous Sars-CoV-2 promises to be a scarecrow as its contamination capacities are exceptional, thus giving the end of the year 2021 an air of February 2020, shortly before the storm that hit and the shock of the first confinement. The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, wanted the Christmas holidays and the end of the year celebrations to take place as normally as possible. The future will tell whether this decision was salutary or inconsequential, but, in the meantime, each of us can make our small – or big – contribution to the collective effort.
