Denitsa, Lola, Mélanie Orl… Laurent Maistret takes stock of his love life

In a long interview given to Public, Laurent Maistret took the time to confide in many intimate subjects. From Koh-Lanta to his role as a dad, through his love life and his difficult adolescence, the former adventurer converted to television gave himself up with an open heart.

Laurent Maistret is one of the most emblematic figures of Koh-Lanta. After spending several adventures with Denis Brogniart on TF1, this charismatic adventurer decided to trade his survival backpack to take on the role of presenter on W9, where he notably took care of the last season of Apprentis aventuriers. A role that he learns day after day and for which he gives himself body and soul, like everything he has undertaken throughout his life. To return to his explosive journey, Laurent Maistret gave an interview to the newspaper Public during which he did not hesitate to give himself up with an open heart.

First of all, Laurent Maistret wanted to go back to his childhood. Son of a French father and an Algerian mother, for him, what animated him as a child was “music, dance, Michael Jackson and graffiti”. Far from the paradise islands of Koh-Lanta, he grew up in the suburbs of Paris, where his first discovery of sport was… “on concrete ping pong tables”. His first adventure on TF1, he did it “for the challenge, to prove things to himself and his father”. One thing leading to another, Laurent acquired a taste and revealed himself in a role that came out of his daily life.

Laurent Maistret: “All these stories, it’s wind!”

This fan of “manga and video games”, who defines himself as a geek, is now 40 years old. A passage in a new decade that he fully assumes, thanks in particular to his physique, which he works almost daily. “Sport is above all about taking care of yourself. I am 40 years old. But people tell me all the time that I am doing less!“, had fun this dad of an 11-year-old boy, who admits to being “uncompromising on politeness and respect”.

As the discussion progressed, the interview has become more intimate. And, once again, Laurent Maistret did not hesitate to indulge in his love life. “I’m very happy in life, that’s all. All these stories with Denitsa, Lola, Mélanie Orl amuse me. It’s just wind. I’ve never been with these girls that I sometimes meet at parties or on social networks. I’m really not trying to fuel any of this.”. At least things are clear now.
