A couple’s motorcycle tour ended tragically on Friday evening: a 63-year-old from Gusen came off the road in a left-hand bend in Königswiesen and fell. His subsequent life partner immediately came to his aid, but was no longer able to save her friend.

The couple was riding their bikes on the B 124 from Haid towards Königswiesen when the 63-year-old came off the road in a left-hand bend in the Königswiesen area for an unknown reason. A friend witnessed the accident. The motorcycle driver from Gusen fell in an adjacent meadow to lie down. His partner (60), who was driving behind him, witnessed the fall and immediately went to her seriously injured partner and gave him first aid. A passing car driver supported the woman in resuscitation, as did a police patrol. Even the emergency doctor couldn’t save the biker. But the emergency doctor team couldn’t save the man either. He died from his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
