Switzerland has its freedom again. Almost all measures have been lifted. Since Thursday, the obligation to obtain a certificate has been history. The mask requirement is also largely eliminated.
After two years of the pandemic, many are very happy. But the corona skeptics, of all people, who kept railing against the mask and kept complaining, are still angry.
But why actually? You should be cheering the loudest now. But they don’t. On the contrary: They take to the streets again. The next demo will take place this Saturday. “Saturday we’ll see each other in Zurich-Oerlikon,” it says, for example, in the Telegram chat of the Freiheitstrychler. The action alliance Urkantone mobilized in a message for the approved demonstration next Saturday in Zurich-Oerlikon.

Fear of the return of the measures
What exactly is the problem of the Corona skeptics? A look at the Telegram channels shows that the skeptics’ trust in the government seems deeply shaken. “Even if the Federal Council has decided to relax, these will be of a short-term nature,” says the “Mass-Voll” channel.
Their leader Nicolas Rimoldi writes: “It would be a mistake to trust the people who have lied to us for two years.” The resistance must not stop now. And so the appeal to the members is: keep going. Because: “Nobody guarantees us that the inhuman coercive measures will not return.”
“Never again a health dictatorship”
Gratitude for the easing is also limited in the “Freiheitstrychler” channel. “Thanks? For what? For 2 years coercion, discrimination, deprivation of liberty, lies and deceit? Not with me!».
The skeptics not only fear that the next pandemic “will be conjured up out of a hat.” They also request that the last two years be investigated. Because: “There must never be a health dictatorship again.” For this reason, those responsible should be held accountable.
The anger and frustration of the skeptics is still great
But there are also some skeptics who don’t quite understand why people should still take to the streets. In a channel, under the announcement of the Corona demo on Saturday, the question is asked: “Hey, what are you still demonstrating for?” In another post, someone writes that you should now enjoy your freedom.
Such thoughts are quickly dismissed in the channels. The skeptics are already scenting the next conspiracy, at the same time they are demanding a complete clarification of the Corona period. The anger and frustration of the skeptics are still great. The hard core probably doesn’t want to be satisfied. So the skeptic demos are not history yet – unlike most corona measures. (jmh)
