How to format text on WhatsApp?
This formatting is now expected. In a tweet shared on February 21 on X (formerly Twitter), instant messaging lists four more shortcuts. They allow you to create bulleted lists, numbered lists, quotes in emphasis or in a computer code style. The shortcuts are:
- The score: _allows you to write in italics_
- The asterisk: *allows you to write in bold*
- The tilde: ~
allows you to write in strikethrough~ - The inverted apostrophe:`writing in code`

- The hyphen: the bulleted list
