Did you like him in The Young Pope? Jude Law returns in a new series for Netflix

At 51, Jude Law signs his first project with Netflix: a series in which he will share the poster with Jason Bateman.

Netflix is preparing a nice project for its subscribers. For the first time, the streaming platform is collaborating with Jude Law on a pretty exciting project. The 51-year-old British actor will be one of the headliners of Black Rabbit, a drama in which he will star opposite Jason Bateman (Ozark).

If screenwriters Zach Baylin and Kate Susman (The Williams Method) are working in secret on the script, we already know what the mini-series will be about:

When the owner of a New York establishment allows his turbulent brother back into his life, he opens the door to a series of setbacks that threaten to destroy everything he has built.

The platform comes to complete the distribution list of Black Rabbit, which will notably feature Cleopatra Coleman (Rebel Moon), Troy Kotsur (CODA) who will play a bookmaker linked to a criminal organization or even Robin De Jesus (Tick Tick…BOOM) who will play a talented chef.

A fruitful collaboration

Black Rabbit marks the first collaboration between the two renowned actors. This series is part of a deal signed between Jason Bateman and Netflix in 2018, via his production company Aggregate Films.

In addition to Ozark, which has since ended and which has won numerous awards, the actor notably produced the romcom You at home and vice versa with Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher released last year on the platform. Netflix will also broadcast the romantic comedy Hit Man, starring Glen Powell, in certain countries. The latter will be released in France in cinemas.

As for Jude Law, this new project could well open the door to other Netflix productions, even if the actor seems to limit his presence on streaming platforms…
