Pop titan Dieter Bohlen injured himself while diving and had an ear operation. He reports from the hospital on Instagram.
Dieter Bohlen (67) is currently in the hospital. He had “injured his ear a bit while diving” and “unfortunately had to undergo an operation,” explains the pop titan in a video on Instagramin which he can be seen in a sick bed. His right ear is covered with a plaster. “Don’t worry,” he soothes. “Now everything is great, I hear like an eagle. Love to you.”
The singer is already joking again: “After 18 years of auditions, the ears have to be cleaned. Fun! But the ear surgery is real,” he writes about the video, referring to his time as a juror for “Deutschland sucht the superstar “.
Girlfriend Carina (* 1984) is at his side in the hospital, like Bohlen in an Instagram story shows. In the photo you can see him in his bed, Carina snaps the selfie with the surgical cap and mask. “Carina the best nurse always with you,” comments the pop titan. The 67-year-old also thanks the doctors at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The pop titan does not reveal how the injury came about and how long Bohlen will have to stay in the hospital.
Fans still have to wait for TV comeback
He has been in a relationship with his partner Carina since 2006. After leaving “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” and “Das Supertalent” at the beginning of March, the singer is now working on his TV comeback, as he recently revealed via Instagram. However, since he is looking for “something completely” new, his fans would have to be patient a little longer. He ruled out a casting show in which he again rated “any singers”.
