Dieter Bohlen spoke about the reasons for his end on “DSDS”. He and the RTL management were no longer in agreement.

Dieter Bohlen (67) has commented on the reasons for leaving “Das Supertalent” and “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. The pop titan explains in an Instagram videothat he and the new managing directors at broadcaster RTL ultimately no longer agreed. “I was with ‘DSDS’ for 16 years and we were very successful, we were a team. We had an opinion on how to be successful. Then new managing directors came, new people up there, they had a different opinion.”

He fully understood that, after all, it was her job. “But I would never have put Wendler in there, for example. And if you have such different opinions about the formats and how to achieve success, then of course the best way is to split up,” continued Bohlen.

TV comeback planned

Nevertheless, he gives fans and followers hope for an early reunion on the TV screens. “We only parted ways for these two formats. RTL didn’t kick me out, we have a contract that will run well beyond this year.” Bohlen does not rule out joint projects with RTL in the near future.
