Dieter Bohlen: That is why Florian Silbereisen fits so well in the "DSDS" jury

Florian Silbereisen (38) is the new judge in the live shows of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar", as was announced on Thursday. "I am delighted that Florian is there," said Dieter Bohlen (66) RTL about the commitment: "My absolute dream occupation. I fought for it for a few days, it really wasn't easy." Bohlen also explained on Instagram that Silbereisen would stay on the show until the final.

50 percent of the candidates who are currently on "DSDS" sing German hits, Bohlen continues: "Florian knows a lot about the area." From Saturday, March 21 (8:15 p.m.), Silbereisen will judge the singers alongside Bohlen, Pietro Lombardi (27) and Oana Nechiti (32) in the jury until the big live final on April 4, 2020. The presenter and "dream ship" captain takes over for Xavier Naidoo (48), who was fired last week because of a scandal video as a judge.

"Something very special"

According to RTL, Florian Silbereisen explains about his new job: "Dieter asked if I would step in at short notice and of course I immediately agreed." Especially in times like these you have to hold together and help out where you can and are needed: "I have to say, I'm really looking forward to this new challenge. Dieter already celebrated international hits with 'Modern Talking' when I was a very small one Boy was. And that I can work with him now is really something very special for me. "
