This was one of the big announcements from Behavior Interactive’s presentation last May. A Dead by Daylight dating game does exist and it is now available.
Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim Obviously Isn’t Canon at All and allows to fans of the asymmetrical horror game universe to experience the game’s killers like never before. The synopsis of the game is quite simple:
You wake up on the beach of Murderer’s Island, your lungs full of seawater, with no memory of who you are or how you got there. You are quickly discovered by the station staff as well as the other “customers”, who happen to be four ruthless, yet alluringly beautiful killers.
The game allows you to flirt with 4 killers from the original game. Thus, you will be able to flirt with The Spectre, The Trapper, The Huntress as well as The Spirit which for the occasion all had the right to a Japanese dating sim redesign while keeping some of their scary side.
For Alexei Bochenekcreative director at Psyop, this adaptation was a real challengebut it created something very different.
“The chase has always been at the heart of Dead By Daylight – and Hooked on You is no different. But what if it wasn’t this universe’s famous killers who were chasing after us? […] We’ve made it our mission to examine the characters and central themes of the original game from an unexpected angle: through the lens of humor and romance. Our team had a lot of fun finding inspiration in the deep story of this awesome original universe and turning it into something new. I sincerely hope we make fans’ hearts beat as fast playing Hooked on You as we did playing the original, but for whole new reasons.”
