We told you about it last week, the first 30 Tesla Model Y vehicles manufactured in the Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory have been delivered to customers. This is of course only the beginning, since this factory, presented by the firm as its most advanced, durable and efficient to date, is intended to produce hundreds of thousands of Model Ys as well as millions of battery cells. .
This Gigafactory, of which Elon Musk published the final 3D rendering in July 2020, covers an area of 300 hectares, including 227,000 m² of buildings. Ultimately, it will employ 12,000 people; current numbers, however, are only 3,000.
