Disney +: a Marvel series dedicated to Vision in the pipes?

More than a year after his reappearance in the series Wanda vision, the character played by Paul Bettany could well have the honors of a series in his name, planned on Disney +. Marvel would indeed be about to open a writer’s room to start writing the program.

VisionQuest

It’s still just a rumor, but it’s a big one: in the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast, journalist Jeff Sneider announces that Marvel Studios is hiring writers to work on the next Vision adventure , titled VisionQuest.

This name, far from being trivial, is inspired by a series of comics from 1989, which sees the superhero deprived of his memories and his emotions, and in search of his lost humanity.

As a reminder, actor Paul Bettany (Legion, Da Vinci Code) originally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2008 as the voice of JARVIS, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence. It is only in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) that he appears in the flesh in the form of Vision. The character will be killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity Warbefore reappearing in the series Wanda vision in 2021. At the end of the show, the character is nothing more than an empty, robotic shell, and he flees.

Anyway, this potential program in development could find its place in phase 6 of the MCU, which will run from the end of 2024 to mid-2026, and which still has seven undisclosed Marvel projects. To be continued…
